Original entry from 2009 : 2 TAHUN ITU...

mellow mode on neh…ketularan sari lama2…hehehe…jadi inget masa ospek dulu, pas ada yg dengan puitisnya mengingatkan kita, jadi mahasiswa FK itu sebisa mungkin berangkat bersama, berjuang bersama, kalo bisa mengakhiri bersama. pokoknya bersatu kita teguh deh. dengan petuah itu, akhirnya sampailah kita pada masa DM. masa perjuangan berat dimulai. kita dibagi dalam kelompok2 dan terbagi lagi dalam kelompok senasib seperjuangan yg anggotanya ga tentu. bisa saja single fighter. bisa cuma runtang runtung berdua, bisa bertiga. kalo beruntung bisa rame2 sampe setengah lusin. for me, it’s the four of us…

erich: what can i say abt this guy?? he’s extremely eccentric, the weirdest man i've ever met, and don’t forget about his heroism especially when it involves patients’ life. actually, i thought there will be lots of fighting between us since both of us are typically alpha male and alpha female, which rarely goes along, but amazingly, we never had a big fight. he’s the bosley in the team (ga rela kalo erich jd charlie, hehehe…). always appointed to be the captain of the team. asking questions: almost everytime. standing in front: usually. answering question: if he could he would spit whatever it is in his mind.

why he’s a weirdo?? let’s see…self-diagnose a new “disease” for himself after finishing in each lab (autis dan ADHD makin disadari setelah lewat jiwa, kuatir OA setelah rehab medik, selalu mau foto thoraks setelah keluar dari interna krn takut TB, dan curiga ameloblastoma setelah lewat THT.. liat “ajaib”nya?). blon lagi jalan pikirannya yg ga bs dipahami 100% (namanya jg autis..), teasing his coworkers by shouting “pasien baru!! mbak/mas DM!!” or knocking the door like there was an emergency or acting like a senior. always thinking about cholesterol, fat and stuff before eating and trying to stay healthy by jogging and riding bike but still smoking occasionally. complaining about people who smoke in public w/o considering where they are and never hesitate to warn them if we’re annoyed by the smoke.

disukai para pria gay makes him overjudge others. any men who tried to stand close to him, talk nicely to him will be taken as a gay in disguise. hahaha..how i miss those times with mas kukuh, hehehe…in short, those who spent their times mostly with him will agree with my statement.

sari: the flower in the group. a nice, adorable and shy girl who still searching for her soulmate. we diagnose her as BDD, since she loves to eat but too conscious about her body figure. even though we assure her that her body is just fine, she always thinks that she’s fat. that’s why she refused to sit in front. always sit at the end of the row when we’re taking our picture. she had to be in the middle, covered by somebody else so she won’t look fat. she loves to eat, loves to shop, loves to update her FB, loves to list nice and handsome guys but super shy to make the first move or to response his move. but fortunately, she knew when to turn down a guy..bravo!

sometimes she’s too honest that she can’t even pretend even with PPDS! she’s our “conscious” alert. if we’re too pathol, then she’ll be so worried until we back in the line. she’s our guard. if not because of her, maybe we’ll be as lost as other team. she’s also the one to protect in the group. afraid of going to the dorm room alone. afraid of sleeping there alone. afraid of turning the lights off. takut kejebak di lift. takut kejepit di lift. anything else that she’s afraid of?

desi: the most understanding, considerate, mature, wise and diligent person in the group. tapi urusan pathol, she’s more easy to elaborate than sari. she’s like our mother. hehehe…she acts calmly yet sometimes she can be harsh at the patient. she’ll patiently examine the patient and question the family but if they’re out of line, she’ll scold them. she’s the one that will search the answer if we have tasks. she’s a partner that you can count on. she may seem fragile, but inside she’s a tough girl. she can survive in bandar with the bundar-boy, hehehe..

she’s super flexible. wanna go home early but still have to examine the patient? foto aja statusnya? ayo aja…still have to list the patient but this lazy-virus won’t stop bugging you? let’s do it in the morning…SOAP pasien? paroan aja…tuker info lewat YM ato FB aja…

she’s the ear..she’ll listen to your problem and calm you down so you can think clearly. she’ll give suggestion, reassurance, agreement, whatever you need, just name it..she’s the glue. to stick us together. to calm me and erich down if we’re furious, to calm sari if she’s over worried.

it’s almost 2 years my friends…almost at the end of our journey..can we still end it together?? i hope so..it’s so nice to have you guys as my group. thank God for our solid team. for those ups and downs we’ve been through. for those incredible times we’ve had during those labs. for those experiences during our night duties. for the sickness we’ve shared during intern time. for the joy and celebration after passing each lab. for us! cheers!!
